maddmaxx ★ Posted February 26, 2022 Share #2 Posted February 26, 2022 I'd like to be worried, but I just don't think I'm going to make it.
Wilbur ★ Posted February 26, 2022 Share #3 Posted February 26, 2022 This is well beyond the scope of my earthly existence. I barely think about 10 years from now so 10,000 years is insignificant. The sun is expanding and life on this planet will cease to exist. I don't care about that either. We barely understand the heating and cooling cycles of the earth and those will have little effect on my life. What about future generations you ask? I don't care. Adapt or die. It is all outside of my purview.
KrAzY Posted February 26, 2022 Share #4 Posted February 26, 2022 10,000 years.. meh… the way this woods population is going.. we ain’t got nothing to worry about.. I am more worried about what sun spots spitting out solar flares and causing a great EMP taking out the power grid.. than again my wife and I know we can live off the land and survive.. it’s the others in our area that are too dependent on everything else that bothers me.

Dirtyhip Posted February 26, 2022 Share #6 Posted February 26, 2022 This is beyond my scope to even imagine. I do worry for everyone's children and Grandchildren. It is why I do some of the things I do.
jdc2000 Posted February 26, 2022 Share #7 Posted February 26, 2022 The black holes are 9 billion light years away, so the effect on Earth should be minimal. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_observation_of_gravitational_waves

Today - right here on earth, mind you - there's a black hole all my money seems to disappear into, and a second black hole that my youth dropped into, and these scientists clowns are worried about 10,000 years from now?
MoseySusan Posted February 26, 2022 Share #12 Posted February 26, 2022 It’s space-time, though. The warping could still reach us.
Bikeguy Posted February 27, 2022 Share #13 Posted February 27, 2022 Then again... We should be glad the earth is flat. Then we can just hang 10 and ride the wave.
