but the shelves were bare.

So was that a 'sign' that you should not have any Ponczki's?

Or..  it was just a supply chain problem?  ;)

Me... I figured 'fat Tuesday' was a reminder I'm already fat enough... I had none.

I had two. 🙈 I blame my coworker. We had two dozen there, so she said we had to have two.

Huron Mountain Bakery in Marquette made 16,400 and figured they might have 100 left over. Sheesh!!

I'm not sure what my local bakery made, but I wish they had 1 left :(

I didn't eat any - I didn't see any in the supermarket that usually carries such stuff.

A month ago, they had the German Fastnacht donuts - basically square-shaped glazed donuts without a hole.

They were $7.99 for 12 small ones.  I tried them but I wasn't impressed.

Fastnacht Day was also Shrove Tuesday, but I didn't buy any more.

I do not eat things I cannot pronounce and I am not sure those are even allowed in Texas, whatever they are.

It's spelled paczki (and nice Irish word -_-) and pronounced (POONCH-kee).  I've also heard people incorrectly pronounce it (POOCH-kee).  Now that you are armed with that info you can buy a box of them for your office next year and have a couple.

They are sooooo good.

Then again...  there is this.   Paczkis: The Jelly Donut That Puts The "Fat" In Fat Tuesday    At 425 calories each...   it doesn't take too many to totally blow up my goal for losing some more weight.

I use that a lot!! Lots of Polish or Finlander names up here. I always say, "That's a good Irish name!" You'd be surprised how many people reply with, "Oh really?" No, dumbass.

Yup. This.

it’s a joke.......
