Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted March 7, 2022 Share #1 Posted March 7, 2022 On a pot filler over the stove? Wo7 asked me to think about it. I think they’re bougie and not really necessary but she would struggle filling a large pot with water and carrying it to the stove. Not that she cooks very often. Left to her own devices, she’d make a bowl of cereal.
maddmaxx ★ Posted March 7, 2022 Share #2 Posted March 7, 2022 I guess it would depend on how many times it would get used. If not enough then I would suggest filling a smaller pitcher and pouring that into the pot a couple of times.
Parr8hed Posted March 7, 2022 Share #3 Posted March 7, 2022 I have stayed at vacation houses that had them and they are super dope when you make spaghetti or mac n cheese.
Kirby Posted March 7, 2022 Share #4 Posted March 7, 2022 I tend to think the more stuff there is, the more things that can go wrong. But I"m not a cook so it doesn't seem that important to me. If it's something that would be used frequently, little things can make a difference.
Popular Post KrAzY Posted March 7, 2022 Popular Post Share #5 Posted March 7, 2022 pot fillers are bougie, and only rich type people have those... Just get her a hose adaptor for the kitchen sink. Screws right on the tap.. you can attach a cut section of garden hose and she can stretch it across the room to fill her pot. Think for a total of $10 and BAMMMMMM ya done! 1 1 3

But when we stay at our big vacation homes and cook for the whole family (14-15 people) it just makes it nice. A big assed 6 or 8 burner stove, big assed pots. Filling them at the stove. I just enjoy having it. If you don't cook liek that often then prob not worth it. It's something I would want if building a home. Not something I would add if I already had a home. Further Posted March 7, 2022 Share #8 Posted March 7, 2022 I don’t like the idea of a faucet with no sink to catch the drips if it should leak
Solution Wilbur ★ Posted March 7, 2022 Solution Share #9 Posted March 7, 2022 I had one in my last house. I saw the inconvenience of cleaning grease off it constantly outweighing what little convenience it offered. If I was cooking large pot meals all the time, maybe. I don't so it serves little purpose. Sure, if it's there, I might use it, but I don't fill pots with massive amounts of water too often. Seems overkill for me, but not a commercial kitchen. Randomguy Posted March 7, 2022 Share #11 Posted March 7, 2022 Maybe she thinks you would like it, but wouldn't do it for yourself? Your gift to you or somesuch. Is your sink far? If not, I would pass. How do you like the new stove?

I haven’t been able to connect the stove to the house network yet. The air fryer feature won’t work until I do. It’s something controlled by my smartphone. Mostly, I’m using the small upper oven and I’m getting better at judging the heat levels of the burners.

I never cook for more than 8. Cooking for ten or more makes my head explode. My parties are modest these days. It was not important for us.

If I was selling my home soon, I would install one to fit the "profile", but the other good time to install stuff is early so you get the maximum use out of it. Another faucet for potential replacement later.
Longjohn ★ Posted March 7, 2022 Share #18 Posted March 7, 2022 What is the purpose of a pot filter over the stove? Is it to filter out the smell of smoking pot so the narks won’t smell it when in the neighborhood and come in and bust you? I never heard of a pot filter.
2Far ★ Posted March 7, 2022 Share #19 Posted March 7, 2022 I would put one in. Aside from the weekly pasta we eat, during the winter, Wo2 simmers a pot of water on the stove to increase the humidity in the house.
ChrisL Posted March 7, 2022 Share #20 Posted March 7, 2022 Couldn’t you just use another smaller vessel to fill a pot if it’s too heavy? I’d think a faucet over the stove would be a pita & in the way.
