Razors Edge ★ Posted March 8, 2022 Share #1 Posted March 8, 2022 ...and was UNC beating Coack K (Krzyzewski!) in his final home game - with nothing on the line - an example of both? And, HOW THE HELL did his players let that happen? Several Duke assistant coaches didn't do the gracious handshake thing at the end of the game. Of course, maybe they were irritated that there was no final home crowd victory lap "given" to the top men's coach in NCAA history? I would tend to play every game to win, but if I was at the end of a season, with nothing left to gain, maybe I would have soft-pedaled a bit in the game and let the guy have his big send-off? sheep_herder ★ Posted March 8, 2022 Share #2 Posted March 8, 2022 Play the game, but I sure wish more coaches would clear the benches in some of these blowout games.

Respect the game, the players, coaches & organization. Play to win. I didn’t watch the game but I’d think coach K wouldn’t want the opposing team to dribble out the clock or not play D to ensure a Duke win.
