Parr8hed Posted March 11, 2022 Author Share #6 Posted March 11, 2022 17 hours ago, Airehead said: I love Charlie. How old is he? Let's see.... We got him when Emmy was somewhere between 1-2 years old. She is 14 now. He was somewhere between 1-3 years old when we got him. So my best guess is somewhere around 14 or 15. He still gets around pretty well, but is really showing his age. Sometimes he struggles a little on the hardwood floors. He has taken to peeing on things in the house. He has to wear a diaper inside just so he doesn't pee on stuff. I think he can still mostly see and hear, but that's doubtful at times. He eats well and drinks well. I think he has some sort of dementia (sundowner type syndrome). He gets really yappy at night. Barking and acting disoriented. But he is fine during the day. We all know that decision time may be coming sooner rather than later, and we're all ok with that. He has been a great dog. One of the best. I really worry about Sandy once he's gone though.
