BuffJim Posted March 17, 2022 Share #1 Posted March 17, 2022 I’ve foregone alcohol and sweets for lent, so not celebrating in the ordinary sense. Don’t have any green clothes to wear to work. They’re doing corned beef and cabbage 🥬 at the work cafeteria so we’re gonna get some.

Longjohn ★ Posted March 17, 2022 Share #4 Posted March 17, 2022 I’m going walking with Nancy C today. I don’t know if she is Irish. On Saturday I’m bringing a DVD over to Nancy R’s house and we are going to watch “ I Am Patric” the true story of Saint Patric. Nancy R. Is Irish.
Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted March 17, 2022 Share #5 Posted March 17, 2022 Happy St Patrick’s Day to y’all. I made CB&C last night and brought a corned beef sandwich on rye with a side of homemade pickles and some pub cheese. 1

I've got frozen Irish Shepherd's Pie, but I think I'll save that for another day since I've got two meals worth of chicken and chicken gravy to finish up. The next time I do my supermarket tour, I'll look for Corned Beef on-sale: my cabbage will be sauerkraut.

Kirby Posted March 17, 2022 Share #14 Posted March 17, 2022 Wearing a green shirt but I'm working from home today, so only the cat will see it. Plans to go out for CB&C (although I order something else) with my sisters later this month. The place we go serves it all March. That was also the last restaurant we went to in 2020 when all this started. At the time, breakouts were pretty isolated and the restaurant is sort of near one of the original breakout zones. That was the quietest we've ever seen the Irish restaurant in March.
