I like the view, but the bookcases are very batman-ish.  I would have gone for straight and level if I had to have bookcases.

If you were to remove a book near the bottom of one of those longer angled shelves, how would you ever get it back in place after all the books above it slid down?

Which, in fact, tells you that the shelf design isn't really to store books, it's mostly to display them as a whole for aesthetics.

Who invited the logical thinking to the conversation? I'm not sure that is allowed in a place called squarewheels.

That was the second thing I though about.

The first thing, was using that ladder.  The top of the ladder could probably damage some of the books.

I'm a bit more like this. At least I was in the past. Now, I'm down to two bookcases, reasonably well organized. 

And the picture needs a pedal wrench and some spare bike tires included.
