Correction: Amazon stock split is on June 3rd, not July 15th

I posted a couple good reasons to invest in Amazon stock (AMZN) and that it's current low price will get higher as the split date approaches.

I got it for $2936.95 on March 15th. It closed at $3225.01 (up 10%) on Friday March 19th.  The consensus of experts says it should be around $4098 in 12 months.

I had the split date wrong as July 15th.  Correct is:

"Amazon shareholders of record as of May 27 will receive 19 additional shares of stock for each share they own, with the distribution occurring on or about June 3. The stock will begin trading on a split-adjusted basis June 6."

Sorry that I didn't double-check the date and relied on one article that apparently was guessing before the official word came out.

Judging from cost just buy 1-3 stocks..seems wierd.  Remember,  Amazon just bought MGM and their whole online catalog of thousands of movies.

I'm not convinced in 12 months the split stock will hit that high per share. It will increase, but not that much.

And not willing to bet on an Amazon stock for that.
