Hains Point was the section of the DC Marathon that broke souls.  It was around miles 17-20 and the road was closed so no cheering fans. Just you, your mind and the point.

There were people crushed & broken sobbing on the side of the road all over the point. Really surreal to see.

One great place to ride here, this time of year especially, is East Potomac Park aka Hains Point. A three mile loop on a strip of land between the DC waterfront and the Potomac river. Cherry trees are in full bloom right now.

Many parts of Vancouver BC  will become like this, not starting to now.
