I'm pretty certain, they would fail the test. One of my teapots is very arty, quite heavy and highly unusual. I haven't read enough about the art of tea making. Thaddeus Kosciuszko Posted April 2, 2022 Share #3 Posted April 2, 2022 It's little, short and stout, has a spout and a handle, it makes loud noises when there's steam inside, and when I tip it over hot water pours out. So, I'd say it's ok. 1
Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted April 2, 2022 Share #4 Posted April 2, 2022 I boil water in a saucepan. I don’t own a teapot; I’m a monster.

Square Wheels Posted April 2, 2022 Share #6 Posted April 2, 2022 Don't have one, we installed this when we moved in 15 years ago. Expensive, but the best thing ever.
Kirby Posted April 2, 2022 Share #7 Posted April 2, 2022 I have a Revere tea kettle which is the kind my mother always have. I have a lovely teapot from Chrismarch, but I mostly just make tea by the mug.

donkpow Posted April 2, 2022 Share #9 Posted April 2, 2022 I've never seen a man with a thing for teapots. I don't know how to feel about that.

Teapots can be piece of art in itself... travel more.. not the gilded ones, but the ones that are more earthenware like in style.
Wilbur ★ Posted April 3, 2022 Share #11 Posted April 3, 2022 We gave our bone china pots to our daughters. I currently have a Denby ceramic pot I bought at the factory in the UK, a cast iron pot I bought in Beijing and a really nice bone china pot in an insulated basket I bought in Osaka. Being I am the only tea drinker in the house, they sit neglected in a cupboard.
