KrAzY Posted October 30, 2014 Share #3 Posted October 30, 2014 Just shows.. Whatever you achieve, there is always someone out there trying to yank it away from your dead cold fingers. That's why I vowed never to do anything worth remembering!

UglyBob Posted October 30, 2014 Share #7 Posted October 30, 2014 I wish they would have loosened up the rules in the Obree/Boardman days instead of tightening them. I would have loved to see what those guys would have pushed it to in their day.
smudge ★ Posted October 30, 2014 Share #8 Posted October 30, 2014 I think this guy's an ass. Really?? Jens gets to hold onto that record for a whopping 42 days??? Ass.
jsharr ★ Posted October 30, 2014 Author Share #9 Posted October 30, 2014 I think this guy's an ass. Really?? Jens gets to hold onto that record for a whopping 42 days??? Ass. How so. Rules change in May 2014 allows use of pursuit bikes. Is Jens an ass for challenging once he sees the equipment change rules give him an advantage? Mattias saw this as well and began planning his attempt earlier this year. Many others including Wiggins and Cancellara plan to challenge.
smudge ★ Posted October 30, 2014 Share #10 Posted October 30, 2014 He's Jens. Competition or not, let the guy have the title for a while. Ok, ya, he had it for 42 days. Nah, not impressed.
Dirtyhip Posted October 30, 2014 Share #11 Posted October 30, 2014 Records are meant to be broken. Kind of like rules.

Solution Thaddeus Kosciuszko Posted October 31, 2014 Solution Share #13 Posted October 31, 2014 Well, that sure did not take long Unless I'm missing something, it took the guy about an hour, same as Jens.
Parr8hed Posted October 31, 2014 Share #14 Posted October 31, 2014 Smudge, I hear what you are saying but I don't think that record was ever going to last. I love Jens but guys like Martin, Cancellara and Wiggo are more suited to that record. It was only a matter of time.
Zealot Posted October 31, 2014 Share #15 Posted October 31, 2014 I think this guy's an ass. Really?? Jens gets to hold onto that record for a whopping 42 days??? Ass. Jens can go back a retry. The record should be held by whomever can set it.

Mr. Silly Posted October 31, 2014 Share #18 Posted October 31, 2014 Can't everyone have the record?
Thaddeus Kosciuszko Posted October 31, 2014 Share #19 Posted October 31, 2014 Can't everyone have the record? I wouldn't think so. But in this case at least Jens has a broken record.
