Popular Post bikeman564™ Posted May 10, 2022 Popular Post Share #1 Posted May 10, 2022 Getting into my Malibu yesterday when leaving work...damn these leather seats is hot. Then I thought 💡I have cooled seats So I turned them on. It seems like it helped. Air blows oot of the perforations I was always against getting leather seats. But these features make it better I think. 5
Ralphie ★ Posted May 10, 2022 Share #2 Posted May 10, 2022 Yup, I always loved mouse fur seats. But since those disappeared in Hondas ahspose I would be more amenable to leather since I hate that hard curtain material that replaced mouse fur.
Longjohn ★ Posted May 10, 2022 Share #3 Posted May 10, 2022 I just discovered where the buttons are that turn on my heated leather seats. Probably won’t need them much until fall. Dashboards are complicated these days. I programmed my car to unlock all the doors when I remove the key. It was only unlocking the driver’s door. I did this from buttons on the steering wheel.

At least in the crew seats!

I drove it so much when I worked, I'd get into the Subaru and reach up and want to press Start. Of course the Subaru doesn't have a start button and needs a key. After I shut off my Malibu, I reach for the key...that'll be a hard habit to break I reckon. I dated a girl in mid 2000s, she had a Prius and that was the first keyless car I seen.
Further Posted May 10, 2022 Share #7 Posted May 10, 2022 I once rode 5 hours with my boss, in a loaded Tahoe with heated/cooled seats. He wasn’t feeling good and had the heat on 80, the seat cooler saved my ass. Literally
ChrisL Posted May 10, 2022 Share #8 Posted May 10, 2022 I never found my leather seats in my Subie and now the Mazda to be hot but I use a sun shade. I really prefer leather as it’s easier to keep clean. I haven’t tried the butt cooler yet in the Mazda, maybe I should test it.

Square Wheels Posted May 11, 2022 Share #10 Posted May 11, 2022 I don't have cooled seats. From what I understand with BMWs, they aren't cooled, but blow the ambient air through the tiny perforations. That would still be nice as it can get really hot sitting in traffic with the top down. It wasn't an option in my model.
Parr8hed Posted May 11, 2022 Share #11 Posted May 11, 2022 The 350 and the wife's explorer both have heated/cooled. The explorer even has a massager in them. Pretty nice on long trips.

smudge ★ Posted May 11, 2022 Share #13 Posted May 11, 2022 I love heated seats. Sometimes in summer when my back is hurting I turn on just the back portion of the seat. Ahhhhhhh....

Turning on the heated seats is just enough to be comfy, w/o hot air blowing in. Also, the heated steering wheels is sweet.
smudge ★ Posted May 11, 2022 Share #16 Posted May 11, 2022 I never thought a heated steering wheel was a great thing. I now have one and it's pretty neat! I just have to remember to use it.

Jake said, "My butt is getting warm," and Charlie replied, "That's cause you turned the seat warmer on." Jake said, "That's good. I thought I was getting another case of swamp butt!"
