Airehead Posted May 10, 2022 Share #1 Posted May 10, 2022 He won’t come off the ceiling to go out the garage door. This is the little garage in barn. We got red flowers. We got bright ribbons to show him the way. Einstein now trying the let him settle in fake times and bring him down to door level. Poor little bird. 1

Thaddeus Kosciuszko Posted May 10, 2022 Share #3 Posted May 10, 2022 I suggest a shop vac with a very long hose and a number of wand extensions... 2
ChrisL Posted May 10, 2022 Share #4 Posted May 10, 2022 We have had them fly in our house. The poor things peter out fairly quickly and I can usually catch them as they try to exit via windows & get stuck. But yeah a garage is a whole different matter.
KrAzY Posted May 10, 2022 Share #5 Posted May 10, 2022 Soooooooo if the little birdy is still there when it starts to get dark, make sure all the lights are off and point a vehicle headlight at the garage.. humming birds are attracted to light just like a moth is.
Popular Post Airehead Posted May 10, 2022 Author Popular Post Share #6 Posted May 10, 2022 Einstein saved him. He held a red tuned rake up and the bird landed on him and then he slowly brought him down to door level and outside. 7

Kirby Posted May 11, 2022 Share #9 Posted May 11, 2022 Yay! Hummingbirds are such magical little creatures. I would hate if if this story had a sad ending. You are both good folks.
Longjohn ★ Posted May 11, 2022 Share #10 Posted May 11, 2022 I’ve had them fly into the spa room and can’t figure out how to get out. One got so frustrated he tried to get out one of the corners and he slid down the corner to the floor and stood there frustrated. I picked him up and he fainted in my hand. I took him outside and placed him in a hanging flower pot. A few minutes later he came around and flew away.
