They hired him on the spot at above what they normally start new hires at and said he could have management potential. Rubber lube from handling the tires all day with bare hands will eventually crack the skin around his fingers, especially if he's working there in cold wet weather. I wore gloves in the winter when the tires were wet, cold and covered with road salt. They are a pain. Some mechanics hand creams work well also.
