Kirby Posted May 16, 2022 Share #1 Posted May 16, 2022 There are predictions of a thunderstorm coming, and I love a good thunderstorm! But if there is heavy rain and winds, the peonies that are currently in bloom will be a mess of pink petals on the ground.
Airehead Posted May 16, 2022 Share #2 Posted May 16, 2022 I agree. The peonies always seem to take a hit.
MickinMD ★ Posted May 16, 2022 Share #3 Posted May 16, 2022 We were supposed to have a thunderstorm late this afternoon. But it rained in the morning, the sun came out around 2 pm, but it's too wet outside to do yard work. So I can procrastinate another day. I need to start building my tomato cages from 5' tall galvanized wire fence I bought. Some of the seedlings are ready for the garden.
Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted May 16, 2022 Share #4 Posted May 16, 2022 We are getting hit by the southern side of that storm right now. Strong winds, rain and hail. Our peonies: 1

maddmaxx ★ Posted May 16, 2022 Share #7 Posted May 16, 2022 That's awful. Do you suppose a little tape or glue will repair you?
Thaddeus Kosciuszko Posted May 16, 2022 Share #8 Posted May 16, 2022 I think it's better to be peonied off than peionied on.

Ralphie ★ Posted May 16, 2022 Share #11 Posted May 16, 2022 We got a bye when the storm passed us by. So I got to mow the lawn instead of having it grow even more.
