Popular Post BR46 Posted May 20, 2022 Popular Post Share #1 Posted May 20, 2022 Our son sent me a text last night that he reserved a spot on the truck to have his race bike shipped out to California and Oregon. We were thinking about racing Laguna last year but the plans fell through so I guess that we are going this year. Wo46 and I would be skipping the race in Oregon in exchange for a trip to Yellowstone. I'm playing around with a trip planner and looking at different touristy stops along the way like the Grand Canyon and things like that. So far it's around 5,000 miles. With shitty gas mileage of the motorhome pulling a trailer and with gas prices the way they are...... I think I should start a Go Fund Me account 3
Mr. Beanz Posted May 20, 2022 Share #2 Posted May 20, 2022 Be sure to get a Cali address while you're here. They're supposed to send out a $400 gas relief check sometime in the future. 😄

MoseySusan Posted May 20, 2022 Share #10 Posted May 20, 2022 Those highways through CO, UT, and AZ have some very scenic areas. The Moseys are too far to the south for a visit.

Price rose 25 cents per gallon between my last fill up about 2 weeks ago till this morning's. $4.55 a gal this morning and I realize some of you are paying much much more.

If you think about it, it almost had to happen. People were 'used' to paying (or at least expecting to pay) that price, so somebody in the gasoline supply chain saw an opportunity to pocket at least some of the difference by raising the price. When the energy rebates from the utility companies first came out in the 80's, some amazing things happened. Occupancy sensors that had sold for about $45, eligible for a $25/sensor rebate, went up in price to about $65 like magic soon after the rebate program started. A second amazing feat of magic occurred when the rebates ended, whereupon the price to dropped back down to where it started.,

If you dipped further south, you’d miss a lot of iconic scenery for each of those states. And we’ve been batting around the idea of spending a few days in the Breckinridge, Frisco, Dillon area in CO. It could work to be there about the time you’re moseying through. What are your dates?

UglyBob Posted May 21, 2022 Share #21 Posted May 21, 2022 Let me know when you plan to head south from the canyon and I-40. I can meet you Williams for a bite to eat. I'll even buy. 1
