Power is back

Hmm...  2 hours seems too fast to swap out a transformer.

I'd guess the squirrel caused an arch flash.  That caused the fuse for the transformer to blow.  Both events probably happened rather quickly.   A fuse blowing sounds like shotgun going off. Arch flashes can be noisy too.

You don't want to be very close to transforms, etc... when this happens.   You could end up like the squirrel.

Hope you get power soon.  Years ago, one blew a block of so from me and we could hear it nice and loud inside our houses.

A vehicle ran into the pole and it took a while to get the driver out, so we were out of power for half a day.

Took about two hours and it was back on.
Just as well, squirrel needs to rest a bit after you take it off the heat.

They can be impressive to watch.

BCC & I were camping at the MS ride back in 2017. Not sure how it happened, but a transformer very close to us blew at night:frantics: bright light, boom, then heard the echo, which sounded akin to a high-caliber rifle, w/ the diminishing sound. Crazy.
