MickinMD ★ Posted May 23, 2022 Share #1 Posted May 23, 2022 In the 1960's commercials it meant Lucky Strike means fine tobacco. In my 1960's high school it meant "Loose strap means flabby titty."

Lucky Strike isn't really on my radar at all, either. Marlboro I've heard/seen plenty of, but Lucky Strike never made the cut. Are they still around?

LSMFT popped into my head when I saw another acronym that began with LS and that reminded me of something I hadn't thought of in years. I quit smoking in 1995 and was already smoking the cheap, secondary-brand, low-nicotine, filter cigarettes for a decade. So I had to Google it and found a Wiki link: Lucky Strike is an American brand of cigarettes owned by the British American Tobacco group. Can you still buy Lucky Strike cigarettes? In late 2006, both the Full Flavored and Light filtered varieties of Lucky Strike cigarettes were discontinued in North America. However, Lucky Strike continued to have marketing and distribution support in territories controlled by BAT as a global brand.
Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted May 24, 2022 Share #7 Posted May 24, 2022 Back when I smoked I knew a guy who smoked Lucky Strikes. He died from a heart attack. Non filtered cigarettes are no joke.
