For sure.  You never know how actors are in real life but I have heard numerous accounts of him being a really good dude.  I can't remember who it was on Rogan one day talking about him, but he had an acting gig with Tom and it was one of his first.  Tom called him each night to check on him and gave him a really nice, expensive hand crafted fountain pen.  The dude said Tom was the ultimate professional and great to work with.  But I am sure for ever story like that there are several where Tom threw a fit because his latte was prepared with real milk instead of almond milk or some shit like that.
