Day four Going to the Sun. This was a bonus. I did not think we'd get to ride the road. It was the last day before it opened to cars. We decided to take advantage of the opportunity. We had camped at Sprague Creek. We took off late and went up the road until we realized we had 30 miles to ride to Columbia Falls. By the end of the day we were wiped out. We had ridden up Going to the Sun on fully loaded mt bikes. We got to Columbia Falls late, showered, made dinner, and crashed hard.

Because the GTS will be open to cars when we go in August we have to be off the road by 11 am. Our plan is for a 6:30am start at trail of the Cedars teailhead and ride to Logan Pass and back. It’s only 15 miles but all uphill😟

Our camp host said they were aggressive about ticketing everyone after 11:00. We took the shuttle from Avalanche to Apgar.
