Kind of surprised the flash didn't propagate to the others and you have a HUGE fire ball. I have seen an entire pole mounted capacitor bank explode. 12string Posted August 18, 2022 Share #8 Posted August 18, 2022 I used to work right on the other side of the wall from where they tested huge power supplies for induction furnaces. They were full of those huge caps (PCB filled at that time). They would crank them up to test the circuit breakers. Yeah, WAY loud. Every once in a while a cap would go first.
