According to NFL.com:

Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson has been suspended for 11 games during the 2022 NFL season and fined $5 million for violating the NFL's personal-conduct policy per the terms of a settlement reached between the league and the NFL Players Association, the league announced on Thursday.

Additionally, Watson must commit to mandatory evaluation and treatment.

Per the NFL, Watson's suspension will take effect following the final roster cutdown on Aug. 30 and he will be eligible for reinstatement on Nov. 28. Watson would first be eligible to play in Week 13 against the Houston Texans, his former team. NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported Watson will be eligible to return to the Browns' facility on Oct. 10 and resume practicing on Nov. 14.

...Veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett is in line to start for the Browns during Watson's suspension. The Browns signed Brissett to a one-year contract in March.

...Watson has reached confidential settlements with 23 of the 24 women who filed civil lawsuits against him alleging he committed sexual misconduct during massage therapy sessions. Watson has previously denied any wrongdoing and maintained any sex with the women was consensual. Two grand juries in Texas declined to indict Watson on criminal complaints filed by 10 women.

-------------------------------

Brissett started 15 games in 2017 and again in 2019 for the Colts and 5 games last year for the Dolphins.  His QB ratings were respectable: 81.7, 88.0, and 78.1.

Watson will probably take a couple games to get the rust out, but he could play a spoiler role in some games.  The six games he'll be eligible to play are @HOU, @CIN, vs BAL, vs NO, @WAS, @PIT.  The last five opponents will probably be fighting for playoff berths.

That asshole is apologizing one side of his face and then saying he didn't do anything wrong on the other.  POS.

There was just a discussion on CNN on how he's going to do the "rehabilitation" that will be assigned to him by the NFL when he's saying he didn't do anything wrong.

He seems like such a jerk, but the fact that he supposedly violated some of these women multiple times on different occasions begs the question: "Why did they go back for more after being violated the first time?"

I remember reading about an alleged rape case defended by the famous attorney of the 1960's, F. Lee Bailey.  He asked, "When did you make him coffee? Was it after the 3rd or 4th rape?" and when she answered, "4th," he asked, "Why would you make him coffee, without being asked, after multiple rapes?"

The defendant was acquitted because the woman's behavior did not match the behavior of someone who was raped.

There's some of the same thing going on with Watson.  Note that 23 of the 24 women settled with him out of court and two different grand juries declined to indict Watson.
