I changed out some absolutely destroyed bearings in a crane gearbox. With the new bearings it didn’t go back together quite right.

A bit of research found that this case was available with a few different gear ratios and someone had mixed gears from two different sets.

There just wasn’t room for that extra tooth

Yup....this motor is pretty simple. Just flip it upside down and you can spit the case and get to the transmission without taking the topend apart. On my motorcycle the entire engine has to be disabled to get to the transmission but there's less moving parts on the CR500.
