Popular Post KrAzY Posted September 17, 2022 Popular Post Share #1 Posted September 17, 2022 she just gave me the ok to purchase bulk ammo because my son had such a great time yesterday at the range... I don't know if I should take her to the ER or just run with it and make a $400 purchase. I wonder if I can get other fun toys out of this as well. I mean I would not mind a fully suppressed .22 charger or a 9mm ordnance. Looks like my son and I will be having a lot more range time in the near future for sure. 9
ChrisL Posted September 17, 2022 Share #2 Posted September 17, 2022 Have you ever considered reloading your own ammo? I was really close to loading my own back in the day but kids came along and wiped out my shooting money. I do t shoot nearly enough to make it worthwhile now.

I thought about it, but I got no idea what I'm doing and would more than likely screw something up. I'm sure that's a whole new hobby I'll have to convince the wife into letting me try one of these years. BUT if we end up going out more then we typically do, I'm sure she will reconsider me taking up a new hobby.

That I remember it doesn’t require that much reloading hardware, the cost is the bullets, powder & and primer. IIRC you need a brass tumbler, primer punch/press & bullet press. Then smaller items like brass trays and measuring devices.

It is just me needing to get comfortable with the idea before I jump into it.

It never cleared the barrel. Good thing recognized the sound.

It must me a new virus that is spreading... 3 weeks ago WoBG had had the same symptoms. So for my Christmas gift I got to order a 9mm pistol. So I ordered a Springfield XD9101. When I eventually (2 more weeks?) get the gun I'll buy some ammo for the shooting range too. 2

She’s probably afraid that Massachusetts will be transporting 100s of Martha’s Vineyard residents to Texas.

Back in the '80s my Dad bought the reloading stuff. It's pretty neat really. I was a kid, but I don't think its all that difficult.
Kzoo Posted September 18, 2022 Share #10 Posted September 18, 2022 I reloaded my cartridges back in my early 20’s. An inexpensive hand loader. It was fun to experiment with different loads and lead.

Oh this has been a life long love of mine and I hope she stays not feeling well. I got the AR all sighted in today at around 100 yards with about a 4 finger grouping. Also entered in the drawing for a new pew pew. Chances are low, but there is always just going out to get one if I don’t win
