A vanilla kind of day

The first two pints of vanilla extract are one year old now. This batch is made with brandy. The other is made with vodka.

My vodka vanilla is 9 months old   My plan is to still make some w/ bourbon.

Make it with a bourbon you like best. I used Woodford Reserve in the past because it has strong vanilla profile.

We make several. We’re sort of herbal apothecaries.

Vanilla beans in a jar. Add alcohol of choice. Age one year, shaking jar every now and then.
