MickinMD ★ Posted September 20, 2022 Share #1 Posted September 20, 2022 Anyone remember back in the 60's, when people protested against the lying, misleading, hard-sell commercials on TV and radio? Well, they're back in the 2020's, worse than ever. They range from a guy screaming at you from the TV screen to get your hair restored to the alleged enormous value of non-government made coins that are "clad in 14 mg of pure gold!" - which is 0.000494 ounces or 83 cents worth of gold! The latest, hard-sell, full-of-crap commercial is for Behr Paints. Did you know that if you don't repaint your home's interior, the "old you" (meaning the younger you) is still hanging around? And your younger self was a jerk! So paint your house and that younger jerk will go away. Of course, so will all the happy memories the old colors bring to mind! maddmaxx ★ Posted September 20, 2022 Share #2 Posted September 20, 2022 Reflects a degeneration of American consumers. Madison Ave is very big business. They produce that which works.
Razors Edge ★ Posted September 20, 2022 Share #3 Posted September 20, 2022 Honestly, I only watch the commercials that I enjoy There is almost no need to watch an ad ever again with DVRs and multi-tuner TVs etc.. I will watch her every time!

And the History Channel shows and the Ravens play aren’t good for @MickinMD’s blood pressure either. Dr Mickns would do well to cut back on the television. Play chess or practice piano instead. 1

TV ads are the last thing to get your blood pressure popped over. Believe it of not, the mission of an ad is to get you to buy something you don't want or need. 2
Popular Post Kirby ★ Posted September 20, 2022 Popular Post Share #9 Posted September 20, 2022 I skip over most commercials but the Dr Rick "becoming your parents" insurance commercials are funnier than most of the things on tv. 2 1
dinneR ★ Posted September 20, 2022 Share #10 Posted September 20, 2022 I like commercials. Sometimes I just watch those and skip the show. Cat commercials are the best. 1
shootingstar Posted September 20, 2022 Share #11 Posted September 20, 2022 The only commercials I see are annoying ads that are embedded in certain Youtubes and the occasional online tv show /film, etc. I don't watch tv so I am truly out of the loop for latest trend/craze/fashion/drug, etc.
