I made it.  1240 miles is a long drive, especially on mostly 2 lane roads with millions of trucks.

I got stopped at the border, I had to surrender my BMW for a gently used Ford F250 with big tires and a loud stereo.  They also gave me three guns.

Closing on new house and old house is today.

I'm heading out to a final walk through as I have not seen the house in a while.

They at least understood that a new custom gun rack wouldn't have fit in the Beemer.

Congratulations on making it. You’ll like the F Two-fiddy. Until you get the hang of it, park away from other cars and don’t park it in the garage yet. Don’t handle the weapons until you’ve received adequate training for care and maintenance. Gun oil is an essential oil in Tennessee.

Did you get chewing tobacco and a case of Budweiser with the F250 swap?

Whoa there big fella.  You cannot come in here talking about a truck and not give specifics.  What year F2fiddy?  Gas or diesel?  What size tires and lift?

Also need to know about the guns?  Shotgun, long rifle and pistol I assume?  What caliber?

Congrats @Square Wheels  Glad you made it safely and today everything becomes official. I'm sure there are 100 things to do, but I hope you and your wife can take some time this weekend to simply celebrate all you've accomplished so far and starting this next stage of the adventure.

Which gun are you taking to closing?  If you need help choosing, let us know.  Post pics of your choices.

Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited?  Hope he did not get stuck with an XL.

I am saying  Winchester 12 gauge pump,  a Remington 700 in 308 and a 9mm semi auto, probably a Smith and Wesson.

Good call on the guns.  And surely they would at least get him a Lariat.  Only commoners get XL or XLT trucks.  I would LOVE to have the king ranch seats in my 350.  So dope.

...when do you start your ESL (southernisms) classes ?  Here is something to read, while you wait for an opening in school. Essential Southernisms Any Yankee In The South Should Know This is just the bare minimum, to get by, until you can really begin to learn the language, bless your heart.

Most of these are real.  In the years I lived in the south I've heard them used in real conversations.

...if I had 25 cents for every time I got called "hon", "sugar", or "darlin'", in a sweet Southern accent, I could  pay for Wheels' moving van costs. I'm worried that he'll be eating in restaurants and the local cafe, while he waits for his stuff to arrive, and when the waitress tells him, "Sugah, we ain't got no whole wheat toast. All we got is brai-yud," he might misunderstand. Once you fuck up in front of a local cafe waitress, word gets around pretty damn fast.
