That has the making of a game to watch. The fish are the team to beat, but so are the Bills. I’ll go with spicy chicken wings over fish tacos.

We have a great front 7 on defense. Our back 4 are great, but not a single one is playing. 2 rookies and 2 backups. That gives Miami an edge, but not enough to beat the Bills. In my opinion.

The Ravens secondary was very banged up by the 4th quarter last week.  The had rookies and one guy who had been on the team two days out there.

Before that, Miami was losing 35-14 with 12 minutes to go.  For the first time in 712 games, a team behind by 21+ in the 4th quarter won in Baltimore last week.

The week before, the Dolphins only scored 3 points in the 2nd half against the Patriots.

So that terrific Miami offense scored 17 points in 5 quarters plus 3 minutes.

Miami is a good team with a great receiving corps, but I'm not ready to pour the anointing oil on them being an elite team yet.

The Last Vegas odds have the Bills favored by a spread of 5.5 points with an over/under of 52.5 points - total points scored in the game.

Note that the spread is NOT based on how much the bookies think the Bills will win by, it's based on how much of a spread will cause betting to go 50% each way - guaranteeing a profit to the how.

But the total points is what the bookies think will happen, 52 or 53 points which is a high-scoring game.

On a wild guess, I'm guessing the Bills win 31-23.

 

 

 

If I was a bettor, I'd take the Bills against the spread even if they're playing in hot weather for them.

Last year at the Bills game in Miami, the offense crapped the bed, but still scored 35 points. This year I think we score more than 35, but I doubt we shut them out. My prediction: 44-28, good guys.

I was wrong about the high scoring. Brutal game of attrition. We tried to spike the ball for a game winning field goal, but fell a couple seconds short.

The amazing thing is that Buffalo had about a 2 to 1 advantage in possession and yards.  They used up a lot of time in not scoring.

The week before Ravens were ahead of the fish 35-14 with 12 minutes left to play in the home of Edgar Allen Poe and somehow lost to the fish, blowing such a lead in Q4 for the first time in 712 games.

By the way, Ravens Coach John Harbaugh announced a few weeks ago that Ravens' mascot "Poe" hurt his "drumstick."  He has been replaced for the season by Edgar and Allen.
