Not much change around me yet.  We've had so much rain the lawns still are Spring-green and require frequent mowing.  If we get lots of rain from Ian, there might not be any capacity of the ground to absorb it and lots of low-area flooding.

The fabulous color is now happening where I was last week 

But a coworker  and I plan to head south along the Mississippi to hike the bluffs..maybe in 2 weeks

It's still mostly green here.  There are just a few locations where the tips of some branches are beginning to turn.

Very interesting....since all of above folks are further south than I.

We haven't had much rain for past 3 wks....so things look abit dry.

Still pretty green around here but green is a colour too.

Maybe in 2 wks. it'll start there. You always want to drag out the gorgeous paint brush colour time so it can last longer where you are!

Our local color change is the field of flowers, normally late September early October. Given today's weather, this will be one of the years when under water which is how the field formed with the seed left when waters receded from the floodplain..  In a week or so will be in CT and should have some opportunity for photo ops.

Coastal SoCal doesn’t really get fall colors as we have few trees that are native to the area. We have Oak trees mostly & they are evergreen.  Our hills are pretty much brown & dry 10 months of the year.
