In the summer of 72 I was taking summer classes at college in Milwaukee. I went to a free lake front concert. I guy walks up and askes, "Do you want to buy some LSD?" I tell him no. The guy I was with.... "Good choice, the LSD they have here isn't too good." Then I guessed it may have been about 'Bike the Drive' (riding on Lake Shore Drive, in Chicago). But that already happened this year. I was wrong twice...

groupw Posted October 1, 2022 Author Share #7 Posted October 1, 2022 So the show was great! Devon Gilfilland opened. Never heard of him before. I was impressed! Good singer. Tight band. Good range in their material. Lake Street Dive was amazing as always. I was a little apprehensive of how it would be without founding member McDuck. I missed his trumpet, but the band has grown and evolved while staying true to their musical roots. The affection for each other is evident and it comes through in the music. We were only a couple people back from the front. Great views of everything! 2

Further Posted October 2, 2022 Share #11 Posted October 2, 2022 Rachel makes me think of a sober Amy Winehouse. Not that one is "better' than the other. Rachel is grounded and Amy never knew if she was coming home

The first tour after the Covid lockdown he realized how much time with them he was missing. He left the band on good terms
