You choose a table in the corner by itself is far for any other people so you can enjoy a quiet lunch and read your Kindle and two women decide to take the table right next to you to have a loud personal conversation with both of them talking at the same time?

You could practice your elevator farting.

Like I own a kindle.

What was the topic of conversation?

Overtalking, interoffice gossip and mothers.

I felt the same way about Kindles until I tried one.  cheaper than going to the book store, and I do not end up with 4 already used paperbacks at the end of each month that I pay Half Price Books $8.00 for and they buy back, for a tenth of that at most.  It has paid for itself in the 9 months I have owned it, as I pay $9.99 per month for kindle unlimited and I check out only free books so I come out at least $20 ahead each month if I read three or more books.  And it takes up no space in my back pack and I do not have to worry about getting a library book wet, or dirty or whatever.

Were they speaking a different language and glancing your direction and laughing?

You should have just started saying "I know, right?"  "Preach it Sister"   "Ooh, I hate that to" at various points in the conversation while casually moving your chair closer and closer to where they were sitting.

I really need you to come to lunch with me, just for situations like this.  I had my back to them, so my turns to glare at them obviously did not work.
