shootingstar Posted October 2, 2022 Share #1 Posted October 2, 2022 if you can believe it....twice in past 5 months, I've seen job ads that nearly tempt me to apply.....as another job after retirement from present job. Have been super curious and tempted. Which means learning another different corporate culture ..FAST. The jobs involve ramped up business needs analysis, etc. Clearly I have an inflated ego / damn stupid. Believing that I have inexhaustable energy.
Kirby ★ Posted October 2, 2022 Share #2 Posted October 2, 2022 Lots of people find staying engaged and learning new skills gives them more energy. Personally I'm looking forward to not being so busy and doing household things I've put on hold, but my former boss worked to 70 and enjoyed every day of it. There's no right way to retire - it's what works best for a person at that time.

There's no right way to retire - it's what works best for a person at that time. One good friend who took early retirement 3 yrs. ago, spent 3 wks. cleaning out her basement. It's just her living in 3 level house. She had to rent a dumpster ..that's how much she had to discard. I just visited her last month in Toronto: I was shocked by her verdant green backyard jungle of bushes, fruit trees and flowers. She really has cultivated an oasis in past 3 decades from....literal concrete pavement previously. I feel so lazy.
