If you have done the maintenance... the car is just finally broken in. Your probably good for at lest 100K more. 2 hours ago, JerrySTL said: That's only about 7,600 miles a year. When I had my 2005 Prius, it took 6.37 years for me to see 160K.

My mother had a 2004 Ford Focus Wagon with 38K miles on it when she gave it to her granddaughter in 2020. Towards the end she only drove it short distances to church, grocery store, or doctor's appointments.
Longjohn ★ Posted November 2, 2022 Share #8 Posted November 2, 2022 One of the few times my wife and I shared a car I drove it 50 miles to work on midnight shift and back home in the morning and she drove it during the day. We averaged 1,000 miles a week. 1

I had better get another 100K! (but that will take another 20 years at the current rate)

It had oil changes, new tires, tire rotations, new wiper blades, cabin air filters, engine air filters and the serpentine belt was replace probably twice. Every 100K the cooling fluid for the inverter is changed. The 12 volt battery (like every other car has) needed to be replaced once when the car was 8 years old. The only unexpected repair, was a water pump once, a front wheel bearings once. the muffler died at 9 years (235K) and the front brakes and rotors were replaced at 150K. The rear brakes were original. Not too bad for 261K miles and a bit more than 11 years.
