SuzieQ Posted December 12, 2014 Share #1 Posted December 12, 2014 So I never did alter the way I pay teachers, instead I'm raising my prices! I'm sending out an email. I was going to go into this whole sing song about it, and have now decided to keep it simple and just let them know prices will be going up in Jan. So how many complaints do you think I will get? petitepedal ★ Posted December 12, 2014 Share #3 Posted December 12, 2014 I am thinking even with an increase...as long as your prices are competitive to other yoga studios in the area...it should be fine.
jsharr ★ Posted December 12, 2014 Share #4 Posted December 12, 2014 You will get all of the complaints
Square Wheels Posted December 12, 2014 Share #5 Posted December 12, 2014 So how many complaints do you think I will get? None, they'll all quit and do yoga online with YouTube. Some will complain, but people expect you to be in their pockets trying to separate them from their money. Tat's what the world is all about these days. They'll understand. 100% of the customers will stay. If I offered to sell you my brand new Porsche for $5, you would have a lot of questions as to what was wrong with it, what the catch was... If I was selling it for $132,000 you might think that was a good deal. You might be underpricing yourself it is now.

Randomguy Posted December 12, 2014 Share #7 Posted December 12, 2014 Why don't you raise prices and simultaneously change your pay structure? Death-defying India trips cost money, you know!

SuzieQ Posted December 13, 2014 Author Share #11 Posted December 13, 2014 Ooh - better not let that get out on the Internet! Oops! Actually the woman who led the tour called me and asked if I wanted to go back with her in February! I told her it was a little too soon But I am planning on getting a group together to go back October next year. If I get enough people all I have to pay for is my ticket and some food! Chris... Posted December 13, 2014 Share #13 Posted December 13, 2014 Put a tip jar up front to fund the India trips. Claim the trips on your taxes as further education for Yogi master status.
