goldendesign Posted December 2, 2022 Share #1 Posted December 2, 2022 I'm planning on neutering, seriously. If I'm on the fast lane to expiration I would prefer not to have an oopsie daisies and leave my family size net neutral but bank negative. Has anyone been snipped recently? From what I gather it consists of a pinch, some awkward conversations, a bit of a burning smell, and sore jubblies for the next few days.

Ralphie ★ Posted December 2, 2022 Share #4 Posted December 2, 2022 An old cow-orker used to hold court regularly telling the story of his, but I think he came oot of it ok. I won't tell the story of the other cow-orker who almost died from it because his sturgeon screwed up and refused to admit it or see him for follow-up.

Can you bank some in case you and your wife want more mini-you's at some point? You may have a mind change later on, you know.
Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted December 2, 2022 Share #6 Posted December 2, 2022 Bags of frozen peas. You’ll need them.

And I suggest you practice getting off the couch in the only way possible. Roll slowly off the side landing gently on all fours. Use both the coffee table and couch to get yourself up in a kneeling position. Stop and gather yourself after several deep breaths. Then ask the wife to help you to you feet. If you intend to move from that standing position - good luck. Otherwise it ain't bad. Over 30 years ago and I still cringe.
Zephyr Posted December 2, 2022 Share #8 Posted December 2, 2022 Buy a 3 pack of tighty whites a size too small, to wear for the two or three days after, just to avoid any bouncing. Mine was super simple, no issues and after the first day, the only discomfort was about 4 days later when I jumped up and ran up the stairs. Zealot Posted December 2, 2022 Share #10 Posted December 2, 2022 There’s a difference between neutering (castration) and a vasectomy. But yes, a vasectomy is pretty easy.
Square Wheels Posted December 3, 2022 Share #11 Posted December 3, 2022 I'd never heard of it going badly, until I had mine. It was truly torture. I've never experienced so much pain. I thought I was going to pass out more than once.

Getting your nuts shaved by a pretty assistant wasn’t so bad either.

About 31 years ago. 8 hours ago, goldendesign said: and sore jubblies for the next few days. Yeah... that's the uncomfortable part. @Zephyr's solution was similar to mine. I had jock straps (played more than a few basketball games when I was much younger) That helped a LOT, by keeping things from moving around. I remember all of the bruising down below too. dinneR ★ Posted December 3, 2022 Share #15 Posted December 3, 2022 It's easy. I felt no pain. Rode my bike within a week. I removed my own stiches. That was tricky without a mirror. I missed one day of work to sit on the couch. Piece of cake.
