We've had a variety of flu/colds/covid and a few more serious issues here at the forum lately.  How is everyone doing today?  And this includes spouses of forumites too.

I'm still on edge about HoSmudge. He seems to be doing well, all things considered. Every little thing makes me nervous. I'm hoping he's doing better than I think. His labs were ok, the other day, but not REALLY good. Still walking on eggshells.

I feel fine. Got my new, updated, super duper, Pfizer Covid booster today.

Oh ya. Brought him home last Tuesday afternoon.  Wow, it's been that long? I think I'm gonna be on edge for a while. 🙈

It's probably so much better for him to be home where he can have some quiet and really rest, but there is something reassuring about having a medical team just down the hall.  But I'm sure good food and rest, and not being around people in the hospital with all sorts of contagious flus and things will be so helpful for him.

I’d like you to think about the benefits that HoS receives when you fret. Zero, zilch, nada. Worry won’t make him all better; it will only weaken your immune system and you can’t help him if you’re sick. Take solace that you have people behind you. You’re not alone in this. Seek peace, relax and don’t worry so much. You’ll both be better in the end. Chicken soup would be nice. Make HoS some chicken soup or a chicken pot pie. It’ll do you both good. Peace.

I hurt my back Saturday feeding pumpkins to the sheep.  It has been extremely painful.  Ice packs and pain killers.  Only doing what is absolutely necessary. Tomorrow I have an eye dr appointment then getting the back checked in the afternoon.  Hope to feel good enough to go to our EAA chapter Christmas dinner in the evening. I'm tired of walking with 2 canes.  I can't run the dogs feeling like this. Feeding horses, sheep and dogs is all I have got done the last few days.

Fine as frog’s hair, no offense @Kirby, your hair is fine. WoPTJ is good too. She doesn’t sleep right, coughs a lot, walks like a drunk sailor, and has no stamina. She says she’s fine.

Better than yesterday. We were in and out of the house all day, so I didn’t drink the 80-120 ounces of water I’m supposed to drink every day. Not even close. 12 ounces with dinner at 4:30. It didn’t even occur to me I hadn’t been drinking, until I had to pee at around 8:30. I’m not sure when @Square Wheels says “wicked pissah” he means the same thing, but my one trip to the toilet yesterday was painful. A state of nature…nasty, brutal, and short. I was kicking myself all the way to the drug store to get a supplement for treating UTI and forcing a quart of water. Drank another glass before going to bed at 11:00, and woke up to normal this morning. I’m at 60 ounces of water consumed so far, and feeling good.

I caught Gumpettes head cold. Started Saturday morning. Mostly just a runny nose. Lot’s of people around have it or had it.

My prostate (I think) is acting up. Has been for 6 months but getting worse. Have an appointment with a Urologist on Wednesday. Hopefully can get some relief. Other than that, the chronic conditions are there, but keeping them to a dull roar.

I'm over most of my symptoms,  but still can't taste and I tire easily. Still tested positive today. WoUB is feeling a little better than yesterday, but still in the worst of it. On the plus side, the puppies are happy and healthy, but I do wish they had a little less energy right now.

My congestion is much better. We had a couple inches of rain this weekend which is a lot in the desert! They had to close a couple streets through the Santa Rosa dry wash which is not dry at the moment. 
I was feeling very tired all day despite sleeping better last night. No drainage/coughing in the night.  I did a bike ride when I got home. My body seems happy I did that!

I know SW has had an epic struggle. Hoping mine isn’t a tough case. Not expecting it to be cancer, but will fight hard if it is. My Father in Law died of prostate cancer, but with one exception, refused all medical treatment.

I understand. The new normal includes thinking about his health. It has been a week. Each day will reduce your worry.

My dad had it twice and beat it both times. It is one of the most treatable forms of cancer. Read the book. It's Q&A format.

I’m not saying SW had cancer, but bladder issues. My Father in Law could have survived, but too stubborn to deal with the medical community.

My dad had prostate cancer. I think it is the most common form of cancer among men. 

Even if it is not cancer, prostate health is important and pretty easy.

Winter grind.  Running a lot.  Pitching lessons, work, etc.  Ready for a calm down a little bit.  Feel OK, but just kinda ground down.  Keeping up with my workouts, feeling decent in that aspect.

Better.  I worked from home yesterday and to be honest, I slept a lot more than I worked.  Took some night time cold medicine and got a good nights sleep and back at the office today with no headache, stomach issues or malaise.
