Ralphie ★ Posted December 13, 2014 Share #1 Posted December 13, 2014 Cold and sunny here, and I am really enjoying the sun room, sort of a greenhouse-lite.
Longjohn ★ Posted December 13, 2014 Share #2 Posted December 13, 2014 I enjoy my sun room as do all of my plants that I bring in there for the winter. My spa is in there too.

Ralphie ★ Posted December 13, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted December 13, 2014 I thought aboot y0u too, lj! Drat! We had some beeyootiful citronella plants but I didn't think to bring them in for the winter. The only one we have inside is a mandevilla that I bought for mother's day.. It was gorgeous potted outside all summer, but it is not doing well in captivity - keeps dropping leaves. Drat - it turned cloudy shortly after I started this thread. Longjohn ★ Posted December 13, 2014 Share #5 Posted December 13, 2014 Citronella plants do well inside over winter. They make the room smell great too when someone brushes up against them. When I first put them back outside in the spring they take a couple weeks to adjust to the fresh air and then they take off. The big one you see in the corner of the room I have had for eight years. My wife didn't even know I had it, it was down next to my pool filter. When she had to close the pool the year I broke my hip she found it and said we had to bring it inside. I bring in jalapeno plants that I grow in hanging pots. They usually quit bearing peppers toward the end of winter but when I put them back outside they recover and produce all summer.
Ralphie ★ Posted December 13, 2014 Author Share #6 Posted December 13, 2014 Cool stuff, longjohn! Peppers seem like a great indoor plant now that you mention it!
Square Wheels Posted December 13, 2014 Share #7 Posted December 13, 2014 Nope. I still have a little glass to replace so it's not keeping the heat like it should. I might go in tomorrow. It's supposed to go up to 40 and sunny.
Thaddeus Kosciuszko Posted December 13, 2014 Share #8 Posted December 13, 2014 Take your rollers out there and 'ride' in the sunshine. And let us know so we can re-aim the Google Earth satellite and watch.

That sounds awesome. The only thing is I will be relying on my rails that I built for a while still. Maybe Next fall.

I think you should have more confidence in yourself, and not worry about falling at all, never mind anticipating the next one.
Square Wheels Posted December 13, 2014 Share #11 Posted December 13, 2014 But, but, but it hurts. I'm a sissy when if comes to pain. I fell off almost 2 years and hadn't been back on until I built the railings a few weeks ago. I hurt my knee pretty bad. The idea of riding in the greenhouse is very intriguing. I'm busy tomorrow but I just might try it next weekend.

Longjohn ★ Posted December 14, 2014 Share #13 Posted December 14, 2014 What's that saying? He who lives in glass house shouldn't ride rollers.
