New vacuum cleaner, your advice

Road Runner

Recommended Posts

I have a good vacuum cleaner, two of them actually.  But I want to get one of those easy-peasy battery type vacuums that are easy to get out and use without all the muss and fuss of my big vacuums.

So I could spend a lot of time researching which vacuum is the best, but I'm too lazy for that and I'm hoping you guys may have some experience with these new fangled devices and you can direct me to the best (money not really important) unit to buy.  Even if you have no experience but just an opinion, your input is still welcome.   :)

So what is the best rechargeable vacuum out there?   :dontknow:

This got the highest rating on Consumer Reports.

Shark Pet Perfect II SV780  scored 79 points

That's a handheld model.  I'm looking at something more like this.

Okay.  The Dyson DC 59 Animal and Motorhead both scored highest at 77  and 75 points respectively

The Corded Shark Rocket HV302 was third at 72 points

The Hoover Platinum LiNX BH50010 was third, and battery powered at 69 points

The Dysons are pricey at 500 plus.  The Hoover and the Shark should be in the 160-180 range.

I am looking at this picture, and it doesn't make a lick of sense.  Shouldn't it look like a vacuum?
