New Year’s Day ride. Beautiful weather, 61 F (16 C) sunny. 18.5 miles, 1,200 feet climbed. Not my best time but I got out there. Hope to ride tomorrow. This is Hefler’s Store, dating back to 1830, near the Thoroughfare Gap.

5 miles walking at the YMCA

I have a friend who would always lose track of her laps on the indoor track. She would place a cup at the start line and have toothpicks in her hand equal to the laps she wanted to do. She would drop them in the cup each lap and quit when she was out of toothpicks.

Too hard for me. I use a mechanical lap counter.  You can get the on Amazon for about $4 each.
