So do you guys flush and refill your engine coolant these days?

I used to, especially back when anti-freeze was only considered good for one or two years.  When they came out with the longer change stuff, I got out of the habit and never do it anymore.

 

Am I going to automotive hell for this?

 

What do you do about your engine coolant/anti-freeze?

They say the fluid gets acidic after a while and needs to be changed every 100,000 miles or so. :dontknow: 

Recently I asked my son how many miles were on our old Corolla, and asked if he had checked the antifreeze before it got cold. He said it should be fine since I changed it just before we gave it to him three years ago. I told him I changed the oil, not the radiator fluid. :o

The original antifreeze is ten years old and has almost 300,000 miles on it. Interestingly, its still good down to 20 below. :scratch head:
