My dead uncle

So... someone hacked you uncles account.   Now they are using his FB info to gain access to other accounts.  Looking for the payday...

That is why I almost never use FB.   My profile has no info entered.

I just have the account to access some sites that only have a FB page and no web page.

Get the Ouija board. Much safer.

You don't watch enough horror movies.   I've seen enough that I'd never use a Ouija board.   I don't want to find out what could happen.

Just sent me a FB friend request. Should I accept? Or should I just get a Ouija board?

A few years I got a friend request, allegedly from my cousin Linda, that appeared as a pop-up while I was browsing on my laptop. I thought we were already friends so I approved it.

It turned out to be a fake Linda who had stolen her Facebook picture, etc. so the website looked like Linda's and the URL had one small period or comma difference that I didn't notice.

Next thing I know, I get a Facebook message from the fake Linda, asking me if I heard of a site where you can win money that needed my phone number etc.

The formality of the language wasn't like Linda at all and I suspected it was a fake.  Linda's brother Tom had recently died, so I asked, "How's Tommy doing?"

The reply was, "He's fine."  I reported the fake site to Facebook - I had to go through a Google search to figure out how to do it - and the site was down within a couple minutes.

Fortunately, I did a screen capture of the texting so I could email it to the real Linda.

I never really put much stock in them. But in the 80s a coworker and a friend of his decided to take a Ouija board to a cemetery on a full moon at midnight. They were doing it as a joke because they didn’t believe in much. They had only been using  it for a few minutes when they both felt cold hands on their shoulders and no one there . They ran from the cemetery screaming. They left the board behind and never went back after it. He said he would never touch one again!

It's enough that someone tries to impersonate a dead loved one but I seriously question listing a pile of your living ones in the obit. There are pros and cons to that.  In today's world, it may not be a great idea. I plan to ask a lawyer about this when get around to stuff.

Agreed.  I am not going to give the bill collectors a list of people to harass after my demise.
