Razors Edge ★ Posted January 3 Share #1 Posted January 3 I went for a ride with some friends yesterday that started over at their area. With the truck, I just put my bike in the backseat - with the wheels still on. No need to remove the front wheel (like in my Accord's back seat) nor attach the hitch rack (if I wanted to leave the wheels on). Open back door, put bike in, close door and head out. Wow. Makes it REALLY easy
Popular Post JerrySTL ★ Posted January 3 Popular Post Share #2 Posted January 3 I can throw two of my bikes into the back of the Town & Country van without removing the front wheel. However, I must take off the front wheel for the tandem. I really like the Stow and Go seats that fold into the floor. It's sure easier than putting the tandem on the back of my old Kia Forte. Of course the Forte got about 10 MPG better mileage. 2 1

There's not much glamour in them, but they are darn great all-around vehicles. I love station wagons and hatchbacks, but it's hard to beat a minivan for versatility.
bikeman564™ Posted January 3 Share #4 Posted January 3 Nice. I need to remove the front wheel to put it in my maliboo. Not a big deal, but still a step

It was nice as I was running behind, so it even saved me a smidge of time when I arrived.

Makes it REALLY easy I would routinely put two full size bikes in the back seat (with the seat folded up) if you put them in a "69" position. Bike #1 bars at driver side and bike #2 bars at passenger side. 1
Kzoo Posted January 3 Share #7 Posted January 3 When I had the Saab convertible I’d put the top down, set the bike in the back seat, get in and maybe put the top up.

Makes it REALLY easy My little Honda Fit requires popping off the front wheel, but it fits easily in the back with the back seats down like a station wagon. My old mountain bike could be stood up, door-to-door, behind the front seats without the front wheel on: the horizontal part of the Fit's back seats can be stood up to provide a 1.5" wide door-to-door area. Unfortunately, my Trek is a little bigger and doesn't quite fit that way.
Longjohn ★ Posted January 4 Share #9 Posted January 4 “Bigger Is Better” That’s what she said. My bike fits in the back of my CRV and the tinted windows block people from seeing my bike is in there. 1
