Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted December 19, 2014 Share #1 Posted December 19, 2014 In the DH "I'm Sick" thread I shared the story of the quilt my wife is making for a co-worker's Mom. The fabric came from her deceased husband's clothes. The quilt is queen size. Here are pics of the design. This is just the top. The cross has to be hand-sewn as they are silk ties. The quilting part will be done this weekend.

Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted December 19, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted December 19, 2014 Very nice. Does the recipient know? Her Mom knows that something is being done but she doesn't know it's a quilt or the design. When Amanda saw it on Monday, she cried. I think her Mom will like it. Kzoo Posted December 19, 2014 Share #7 Posted December 19, 2014 Very nice. WoKzoo's siblings have planned on doing that with some of their mom's favorite clothes. That was 2 years ago and the stack of potential fabric swatches is sitting in our spare bedroom. Tell Wo7 she did a great job.
