Is Gene a good first name for a medical doctor?  What does it imply about him?

I got a call from my new endocrinologist's office - the diabetes specialist - checking on my personal info before my Monday appointment.

It's at the U. of Maryland Hospital Diabetes Center and I've taken diabetic nutrition classes there and briefly saw a doctor no longer there so they have my insurance, etc. records.

The nurse asked if Dr. Forman was still my PCP.  I said no, he retired at the end of 2022, but I've been assigned to a Dr. Green in the same office who I met in the hallway in November.

She asked what his first name is and I couldn't remember and was in my car talking to the Bluetooth unit and couldn't look it up.

She said, that's ok, I could bring that info on Monday.

So I looked it up.  His first name is Gene.  Not Eugene, etc. Gene.  I like that.  Sounds like he comes from a down to earth background.

The endocrinoligist's name is Jawaad Siddique Khokhar. He was the only appointment I could get in January when I walked into the office in November and was told he's a young doctor who his patients like a lot.  I hope so.  I'll have to ask him how he pronounces his last name before I try to say it.

First guess is Coke-car. That’s how I’d pronounce it phonetically. Good luck.

I like my doctor for past 4 years.  She is in her early-mid 30's. So I got her just probably 1 yr. after she finished her medical residency  to get MD from our local university Faculty of Medicine.   I know some people get concerned having a recent "grad". I'm not concerned:  if I can't accept my baby sister-doctor's medical advice as a 2nd opinion. after she just got her MD at that time, then there's something quite wrong with me

My previous doctor was very good, full patient caseload and got good patient ratings (which I only knew about several years later) but she moved to another province.
