Ralphie ★ Posted January 7 Share #1 Posted January 7 Chuck Prophet kicked some ass in Philly tonight. He reminds me a lot of Tom Petty. Which is good. He did a nice fairly genteel show until the last number where he brought the house down with You Did. Just awesome guitar. Which is also nice. If you come to a chuck prophet fork in the road, I recommend you take it.

TrentonMakes Posted January 13 Share #4 Posted January 13 I haven't really been paying attention and I don't think I knew he was coming around - though even if I had tickets I'm still not feeling up to something like that. He's got some great songs but my favorite is Sonny Liston's Blues... a killer guitar riff. Ford Econoline is another great one.

Ralphie ★ Posted January 13 Author Share #6 Posted January 13 This was an incredible version. Daryl really can interpret a song. Good old Philly blue eyed soul.
Ralphie ★ Posted January 13 Author Share #7 Posted January 13 I had to go listen to the original because I never really caught the submelody that Daryl was singing, since it is much more buried here.
