Ralphie ★ Posted January 10 Share #3 Posted January 10 I’ve told this before, but I went oot on a limb once at our favourite Chinese restaurant and ordered beef with bitter melon. Man, that came with a LOT of bitter melon! There was not nearly enough beef to balance oot all that bitterness!

A serving is good and some benefits: Bitter melon: antagonist to cancer - PubMed (nih.gov) My mother prepped it for us all about 2-3 times, sometimes with beef or chicken. 44 minutes ago, Airehead said: Butter melon. How to prep? Stir frying with red peppers, onion, garlic and ginger root, abit of soy sauce (or one could use hoisin or oyster sauce), mixed with pasta. One could add tomato which would be another variant. Or without tomato, add whipped egg to scramble egg mixture. My mother didn't do latter but I've seen recipes.

Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted January 10 Share #6 Posted January 10 I’ve never tried bitter melon. I’m sure my wife would not like it. She doesn’t care for strong flavors. Yesterday I made hoisin sauce from scratch and stir fried chicken with peppers, onion, garlic, and broccoli. Wife liked it and we enjoy four servings from one chicken breast.
