Popular Post Dirtyhip Posted January 10 Popular Post Share #1 Posted January 10 So, I jumped on the counter and put my head in the open cat fud container. I don't think my hooman liked it. She gently put me back on the the ground and put lid on the container as she softly said "No, kitty.". If only I was a little faster. That extra fud would have been in muh belly. I tried to clean her hair today and it was tooo long to clean. Her long hair got stuck in my tongue. I thought I was going to choke. She needs to cut that mes My hooman gave me wet food and some kibble. I really like that. stuff. She stopped warming up my water. I don't care, and I guess she figured that out. She bushes me with this old brush of hers. She didn't even wash the brush. I hope she doesn't have lice. I purr, even though that old brush is somewhat gross. 13

smudge ★ Posted January 10 Share #7 Posted January 10 Be patient with her, @Waffle. She's new at this kitty stuff. I'm sure she is considering increasing your amount of food after your subtle hint letting her know you're still hungry. I'm glad you enjoy the brushing. Keep up the purring and I'll bet you keep getting the nice brushing! 👍 Pretty neat to see you have your own account here. Welcome!

I rolled on my back and spread my legs so she could brush my all over. I believe she is still confused if I was a girl or a boy. She seems very interested in my bits. I am a boy, despite losing my balls to the savages. There are no toys here. She gives me an old hairband to play with. She threw it 6 feet away from me and said "Fetch." I don't know who she thinks I am. I saw cat harnesses on her computer screen. I find this strangely interesting. She must have plans. 1

Absolutely. Feeding time starts by 5am - and should involve some vocalizations as well as the knocking things around. And, "exercise" time is best done from 2am-2:30am, and should include the whole house. If a door is closed, you should make an attempt to open it, and if that fails, whack on it repeatedly until the sleepy humans realize it NEEDS TO BE OPEN. 2

It’s demeaning of animals and implies that people who have limited cognitive functioning are alike to pets and livestock. We can do better on both counts.
MickinMD ★ Posted January 11 Share #27 Posted January 11 One of my sister's cats, a black cat, used to climb on the back of the chair I was sitting in and groom my hair. He was also a lap cat and would put his front paws up at my shoulder while he stretched out across my chest, wanting me to pet him and he would purr so much I thought the chair would start vibrating. He passed away and the current pair of cats show a little affection but are not lap cats.
Dirtyhip Posted January 11 Author Share #28 Posted January 11 @MoseySusan, I am sorry. I didn't mean to offend you or mean this as a slight to handicapped persons. Dirtyhip Posted January 11 Author Share #36 Posted January 11 Waffle is very smart. He pushed open the bedroom door and looked in this morning. I think he knows it is an off limit area, which makes him more curious about it. Also, he clearly wasn't happy with just kibble last night. On some days he gets a half can and a small handful of kibble. On can days, he is more loving. Kibble days, more aloof, but still affectionate. On can days, he jumps on me and kneads. Funny animal. He likes the HoDH too. Waffle gives a purr meow when greeting to him.

He is a hungry boy. He eats out of that dog bowl and every piece of the food is devoured. He does the back and forth a little. He eats and then comes over and acts like he is thanking us. Then he runs back and eats more until it is gone. I need to weigh him. That will tell me better on portion. He isn't fat, but he is large for a domestic cat.
