petitepedal ★ Posted December 19, 2014 Share #1 Posted December 19, 2014 Just wondering? I have had mine for 12 years..but I got them second hand from a co-worker..they were probably 3 or 4 years old when I got them (a sofa & loveseat)...
Ralphie ★ Posted December 19, 2014 Share #2 Posted December 19, 2014 Our LR couch is ancient, but still like new because it very seldom gets used, but Mrs. Ralph thinks it needs to be replaced based on age. Our family room couch is a lot newer, but then it is in the "severe conditions" category of use. We have one "Barcolounger" that is maybe 15 years old and near retirement age. team scooter Posted December 20, 2014 Share #4 Posted December 20, 2014 We replaced all our living room furniture a year and a half ago. We had the old couch and loveseat for fifteen years, and the old tables for twenty five years. And that all got moved downstairs into the rec room. Kzoo Posted December 20, 2014 Share #6 Posted December 20, 2014 We moved here 4.5 years ago and of course WoKzoo needed new 'cause the other perfectly good couches weren't right. So the LR and family room couches are both 4.5 years old.
Longjohn ★ Posted December 20, 2014 Share #7 Posted December 20, 2014 The sofa we have in the living room started out in a mobile home, the people who owned the mobile home didn't like it so they bought new. Our sofa then spent ten years or so in the reception area of a private school. When the school closed we bought it at a good price. We have had it for about eight years. shotgun Posted December 20, 2014 Share #8 Posted December 20, 2014 The sofa and matching chair in our living room are about 6 years old. One LR La-Z-Boy is 12 years old and the other one is a couple years old. The couch in the sun room is about three years old. The love seat in the basement is around 18 years old. Gump Posted December 21, 2014 Share #9 Posted December 21, 2014 About 3 years old. We saved up and bought a nice genuine leather sofa. Hopefully it's the last one we buy.
Kirby Posted December 21, 2014 Share #10 Posted December 21, 2014 I'd guess it's about 15 years old. I got it when I moved into this condo.

Airehead Posted December 21, 2014 Share #17 Posted December 21, 2014 The settees in the living room are about 100 years old, maybe older. Rarely does anyone sit in there. The sofa in the family room was new this summer. I gave the old one away to some people who needed it more than we did. I don't think Mr. Aire approved of this move. AirwickWithCheese Posted December 21, 2014 Share #18 Posted December 21, 2014 I love the term davenport. It goes back to a better time.
