Chemical engineering and focus groups make sure you think so.

What chemicals do you have to mix together to make Nochos Cheese flavor?

Mono sodium glutamate, disodium inosinate, disodium guanylate, artificial flavors (chemical compounds are not provided here), artificial colors (Yellow #5 and 6, red #40.

What color would it be if you didn't add yellow #5 & 6 and red #40

I want to know.....when are the scientists going to make Brussels Sprouts taste like bacon?

Read Fast Food Nation if you haven’t already. Eric Schlosser goes into great depth on how chemical combinations can make a plain donut smell and taste like strawberries or maple syrup without using anything made in nature. Food science is big money and they pay top dollar to chemical engineers to create potato chips that taste like cheeseburgers or dill pickles.

Saute them in bacon grease and crumble real bacon on top..yum

It has been awhile since I have had bacon :(

Do you think Wo46 would have bacon within a mile of this house.

I probably haven't seen real bacon in this house for about 30 years.

I had to wonder: Would such a statement about chemicals even cause the slightest concern in somebody like Mick Jagger?  :scratchhead:

I read somewhere that Jersey is full of flavor companies.  Sure enough, exit 8A always smells very weird.

On the plus side, Exit 3 smells marvelous!  Melitta roasting coffee. :)

If you pass through VA and overnight nearby, I can get you some. I keep a jar of bacon grease in the fridge for things like cornbread.

You speak the truth. DuPont is headquartered nearby in Delaware but they do their dirty work in NJ. Melitta, Schmelitta. Come to Vienna VA when Caffe Amouri is roasting their beans. We can visit and talk with the owner over cups of coffee.

We make Cheerios in Buffalo. Sometimes they get a wiff of it nearby. They make O Cel O sponges in the neighborhood I work in. That’s a weird smell.
