Used to be for Robert E Lee, Stonewall Jackson, and Martin Luther King Jr. Now, it’s Spike Lee, Samuel L Jackson, and Martin Luther King Jr. I have Monday off as we observe all Federal holidays. Last night I learned that my cousin Paul is in town for the weekend. Meeting up for dinner tonight and see about other times he’s available. He is Olympic level fencing and is now a premier level judge in the sport. There’s a tournament in Leesburg this weekend. Edit: it’s the Wheelchair World Cup Fencing tournament. Kirby ★ Posted January 13 Share #9 Posted January 13 I just realized it's a holiday for me - yay! For some reason I thought it was next weekend. But we no longer get President's Day which is bad because after getting used to weeks of 4 day work weeks, we now have to wait until May for the next holiday. Best time of the year to head to warmer climes, and also, except over Spring Break, less people to deal with and way less kids to see!

Ok... as a foreigner, Martin Luther King had the greatest inspiration..worldwide for others involved in civil rights and equity. Actually....serious and major influence. Think of all the peaceful protests that have happened big and small in past 50 years.

Just got the mailer in our mailbox that our local Wegman's is scheduled to open Feb 1st! Woot woot! That place is fun to shop at, but the other ones are too far away for us to visit very often. I doubt the Aldi or Lidl will move in too, but that would be fun.

I gotta figure out a plan for April. I guess I can take my birthday off as a holiday. That would leave August open and needing something.
